John Joe's creative practice and scholarly pursuits center around the intersection of Indigenous perspectives, land and place, art, media, and technology. He holds an MFA in Art focusing on Digital Technology from Arizona State University. He is an alum of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (BFA) and the Institute of American Indian Art (AFA).

My creative art practice is a transformative exploration that merges Indigenous perspectives with the language of Artmaking, amplified by the realm of Digital Technology. Guided by the compass of cultural navigation, cultural protocols, and Indigenous Ways of Being, I endeavor to interlace Culture, People, Land, and Place into my work. Through this fusion, I strive to encapsulate the essence of human existence, creating a narrative that spans tradition, innovation, physical, and digital, celebrating the intricate interplay that shapes our shared journey.
